Mothers Day

This year for my day, we drove to Batemans bay for a couple of hours.

Stopping at the small village of Braidwood, on the way, to enjoy a lunch of potato topped pies and visit the lollie shop.

An olde worlde shop with lollies in jars .
It took ages to make a selection, and finally we were on our way.

The stretch of highway, between Canberra and Batemans bay, has stuffed toy animals tied to trees, bears of all shapes and sizes, snakes, and koala' s and even an enormos gorilla.

The Beach was beautiful, and unspoilt. the stretch we chose to visit was a cove with Neptune's necklace to squirt at each other, and millions of shells to collect.

Cedie went searching for fossils, and demelza wrote her name with ochre.
We found crabs and worms and snails.

We enjoyed fish and chips from a popular shop, and the remainder of the chips we fed the seagulls and pelicans.

At home demelza made a bracelet for me from shells she had collected.
A wonderful day with perfect weather.
